Little Black Dress
Little Black Dress is a collaboration of musician/recording engineers from Dallas, Texas. The brainchild of Nolan Thies and Toby Pipes, LBD came together through the desire to write and record music without the pressure of a "hit" single, time restraint or album budget.
Their intent is to make music that will evoke feeling or create a mood and the sound is heavily influenced by the shoegazer movement (Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine, Swervedriver). They've played live on a few occasions, but only under preferred sound requirements. The first full length album is due for the end of summer 2008.
